I went birthday shopping with a friend of mine last week. Believe me, it wasn’t a fun experience. She called to ask me if I wanted to go to “noisy stores with expensive stuff.” When I asked her what she meant, she elaborated “You know, boy stores" and named ones that had great buys (hint hint) and another one who had his own city (hint hint) and a few others not as well known. Since I had gotten the same DVD from two people as a Christmas gift and knew that one of them came from the place with the great buys, so I agreed. This, the girl’s journey into the world of boy toys began.

Unless I have my husband write down exactly what he wants, where I can purchase it and what aisle and shelf it is on, I am bound to get him something that doesn't fit, doesn't run or doesn't matter in his world! Men say it about us ladies but we respond in kind: gift giving for the opposite sex is tough! And there is nothing worse than husbands and the gifts they can't stand.

Grandmothers are special. They are wise. With all those years of wisdom, comes a lot of memories. Grandma will have lots of pictures and it's a great gift idea to consider giving a photo frame on your grandmother's birthday, Grandparent's Day or as a Christmas Gift for your grandmother.
